2015 APPLE LectureThe Applied Linguistics (AL) and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Program hosts their annual APPLE Lecture on Friday, February 6. This year’s speaker is Professor James Paul Gee, the Mary Lou Fulton Presidential Professor of Literacy Studies and Regents’ Professor at Arizona State University.

Professor Gee’s evening lecture is titled, “Language, the World, and Video Games: Why and How All Learning is Language Learning.” Over the course of this public talk, Professor Gee will examine how digital media and new methods of learning require educators to rethink our current views of learning and teaching in schools.

The 2015 APPLE Lecture will be held at 408 Zankel Hall from 4:30 to 6:00pm and will be followed by a reception.
