Tucked away on the fourth floor of Macy Hall, faculty, staff and students of the Department of Arts and Humanities gathered to celebrate their annual holiday party.
The modern installations of Macy Art Gallery mingled with buckets of colorful candy canes lining red and white draped tables. This month’s exhibition featured selected Teachers College student work from studio courses.
Adding to the cheery ambience was a jazz trio lightly strumming away while guests filled their flutes with a variety of red and white wine and others sipped on cups of hot apple cider. The jewel of the party, however, was the feast of gourmet canapés and indulgent desserts spread in the center of the three-room exhibit space.
Joining in the festive spirit, the department’s most invested students trickled in to reflect on their recent accomplishments with faculty and discuss upcoming holiday plans.
As another semester tapers off and another year passes, the Department of Arts and Humanities would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
